Foundation Of Science

The Foundation in Science is a 1-year programme and conducted in 3 semesters. Assessment will be in-course as well as summative. Students are taught the core academic in collaborative groups to explore an issues in a multidisciplinary approach, strategise and implement changes to have a positive impact on the student’s learning process. Students are also taught to be able to communicate, apply their knowledge and be able to solve issues.

 

Selected modules will be linked to the degree programmes subjects like Anatomy and Physiology to enable lecturers in these programmes to build linkages and introduce health science specialisations to students.

 

Students will be assessed through class tests, Diagnostics Test, mid semester examination, end of semester examinations, practical work, reports, assignments, problem-based learning sessions, projects and presentations of their work.

  • Entry Requirements
    Qualifications SPM / O-Level ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Academic RequirementsFurther study in Medicine Programme: Pass SPM/SPMV/O-Level with minimum 5 B’s in Mathematics or Add Maths, Physics, Chemistry,Biology and any other subject and pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English or equivalent. Further study in Dentistry and Pharmacy Programme: Pass SPM/SPMV/O-Level with minimum 5 B’s in Mathematics, Add Maths, Physics, Chemistry,Biology and any other subject and pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English or equivalent. Further study in Science Programme: Pass SPM/SPMV/O-Level with minimum 5 C’s in Mathematics, two science subjects and pass in Bahasa Malaysia and English or equivalent.
