Canadian Pre-U

The Canadian Pre-University (CPU) is a university preparatory course specifically designed with a Canadian syllabus and methods of learning for progression not only to Canadian and US Universities  but  also, any other university across the globe. CPU is approved and governed by the Ontario (Canada) Ministry of Education.

 

President College offer CPU programme to award Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) that require students to take 6 to 7 grade 12 subjects in order to enable them enter the United States or any Canadian Universities as well as certain top universities globally.

 

By joining CPU programme,students are expected to become active learners and being involved in the process of learning. This involvement help to equip students with acquisition of knowledge, ability to become creative thinkers and good communicators who will be able to apply these learned skills in meaningful ways at university and beyond. Programme Outline


Course Content The courses offered at the President CPU programme can be general divided into two i.e. University Preparation Courses (U) and College Preparation Courses (C). The University or (U) courses are grade 12 equivalent courses which are required for access to degree programmes. The College ( C) based courses are grade 11 based courses for some Universities and as a requirement for subjects missed or necessary based on entry qualification needs. University Preparation Courses (U) [GRADE 12]
These are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the entrance requirements for university programmes anywhere in the world. All university preparation subject will be based on rigorous Ontario, Canada curriculum expectations and will emphasise the development of both independent research skills and independent learning skills. This is most commonly known as the Grade-12 CPU course. This is equivalent to the STPM, Diploma or CIE A-Levels. College Preparation Courses (C) [GRADE 11]
More widely known as the Grade-11 courses, the College Preparation Courses (C) are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the entrance requirements of college courses. All college preparation courses will be based on rigorous Ontario, Canada curriculum expectations and will emphasise the development of both independent research skills and independent learning skills.
