Medicine & Dentistry
  • Minimum of 5 B’s in science related subjects [Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry]
  • Minimum of C in Additional Mathematics
  • Minimum of a B in English

Students who have not obtained these requirements are advised to sit for their O Level examinations or resit SPM. Students who feel that they may have a significant language barrier in English are encouraged to register for both examinations. [O Levels & SPM]

The abovementioned requirements are necessary for students to obtain their Non Objection certification by the Ministry of Higher Education in order for their certificates to be accepted by the Government of Malaysia upon their return. Most universities have now resorted to only giving seats to students who have procured their Non Objection Certificates at the point of registration at the University. Other universities give students time to procure but bar students from all examinations until the certificates are provided.


Actuarial Science
  • Minimum of 5 Credits in science related subjects
  • Minimum of a A1 in Mathematics and Additional Mathematics


Other Science Specializations
  • Minimum of 5 Credits in science related subjects
  • Minimum of a B in English
